Assistant Principal

Welcome Back! I look forward to a new school year filled with opportunities to help lead and collaborate with students, staff,  parents, and the community.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Education from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, a Masters in Early Childhood from Cambridge College in Boston, Massachusetts, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Lincoln University in Harrogate, Tennessee.

I have been immersed in the education profession for more than 32 years! I have worked with students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. I have worked as a Kindergarten Teacher, K-5 Gifted Teacher, K-2 Instructional Coach, K-5 Reading Specialist, and the former L4GA Literacy Coach at Anderson. I am elated to share my experiences as an educator and leader and to work collaboratively with ALL stakeholders as partners in education.

Learning is a life-long process and I am committed to ALL students receiving a high-quality education that will support them in becoming the best 21st century scholars in the nation through critical and creative thinking, collaboration, and communication. 

I look forward to unlocking the many treasures our students, teachers, and staff members possess as we work TOGETHER to make the PIRATES of Jewell C. Anderson sail into a new school year full of high expectations and academic excellence!
