Anderson Family, My name is Amber S. Goldwire-Wade, LCSW
- I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia and in Wisconsin.
- I have worked for Clayton County Schools for 16 years
- I specialize in crisis intervention, trauma, child, adolescent and adult therapy, childhood mental health and brief solution focused therapy.
I am assigned to Forest Park Middle, Anderson Elementary and Unidos. Additionally, I am one of two coordinators for the district crisis team and as well as the trauma informed care team.
Personally, I am a mother, grandmother (Mimi), sister, friend and accountability partner for many.
How can I assist your school?
- I am an advocate for our students, their families and my schools. The role of the SSW is to break down environmental, emotional and behavioral barriers that may be hindering our students from working to their fullest potential.
- I am currently wearing many hats in our school district; specifically, I am a coordinator for the district wide crisis team, a certified trainer for Youth Mental Health First Aid in the district and I'm also a departmental liaison for the homeless education department, I am usually involved in the R.T.I. process (mainly behavior), special education (social histories), crisis intervention and risk assessments, DFCS referrals, attendance and work with homeless students and families.
- I've also held small groups, provided brief counseling interventions and conducted staff and grade level workshops and training. These are just a few of the services that I am able to provide.
If you see me in the hallway or pass by my office, stop in and say Hi!! I'd love to meet you!
